So I have created a blog called "make it something different". This blog is based on creating new ways to have fun during dinner. No more turkey Tuesdays, or Spaghetti Sundays every week but maybe stuffed pepper Wednesday or Taco Thursdays.
I will also be looking for new things to do to keep people active in the community. To many people say Cambridge is boring, but all you need are two things:
1) the best people in the world known as your friends to make it fun
2) the initiative to go out there and look!
So to help you guys out, I will go out there myself and try to find something fun to do and let you guys know where it's at! You can find my newest blog at: http://makeitsomethingdifferent.blogspot.com/

My Persona
I have had a thought lately... a serious thought if you believe it... and more or less it's to do with my blog. As most of you know I love to talk and I love to post things because I love to talk. It works very well together. But, I've gone over some of my blogs and I've realized that I can't really talk about things like books or movies and get all critical. I can simply just tell you in person that I think it's crap or that it's brilliant. Not only that, but I see some other reviews and they are far better written than I could ever muster (not meaning to put myself down, but it's true!)
So... what I am trying to say is, I think I need a theme for my blog. No longer "Just James" because that's who I am to my closest friends, not so much my readers.
I have had some ideas on my mind however. Some of these ideas I hope will help you guys get inspired to be creative. If you're wondering, I was thinking of things like recipes and how to keep active. It'll be simple at first, but as time goes on I hope to grow with this and use it in my future career perhaps!
So get ready for a shift in blog reading real soon. I might even put it together tonight! If you guys have any concerns (since most of you use this to keep up to date with my life) then comment below!

Update
Hey guys!
I am sorry to all of you who read my blog. I have been super crazy and I've not had anything interesting to blog about lately. So I apologize if you were getting bored because nothing new was up! I will be updating it with something interesting soon... in fact there might even be some changes later! Good changes!

Alice in Wonderland

I sort of wish I had read the book first, however I do understand the story from the good old animated Disney classic. The only thing that really sucked about watching the movie is that I didn't get to see it in 3D. I believe the animation behind all the special effects would have been more powerful if I had.
Some parts even seemed fuzzy. Did they just throw the 3D one on the screen and forgot to give us the glasses?
But besides all that, the only other downside to the film was the lack of energy from Alice herself played by Mia Wasikowska. I think she gave us the most of her acting skills at the end when she takes part in the final battle, which in itself was a little short.
But nothing could go wrong with the rest of the actors who played their roles fabulously. Of course I am talking about Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, and Anne Hathaway. Besides the outrageous scenary, these actors are the ones who made this film! (Except for Johnny's breakdancing at the end... that could have been left out).
Go see this in theatres. I won't hold it against you! But if you do, go see it in 3D!

The Crazies
Not at all exciting, The Crazies was over emphasized during the commercials giving me the idea that you'd have more involvement with The Crazies themselves. However, the formula for this film included:(This of course happens after the fact that something has gone terribly wrong)
- Wander around
- Find "safety"
- Oh no the military!?!
- We're safe
- Wander around
- Split up
- CRAP A CRAZY!?!?!
- Get away safely...
...and repeat every 20 minutes or so.
I had higher expectations of the film hoping that it would involve more of the zombie theatrics but I guess a lot of other zombie films have given us that all ready and they wanted to involve more military action, which in itself was not that exciting.
I recommend renting it. It's not worth spending 9 bucks on unless you go on a cheap day. Otherwise watch Zombieland... that's scarier than this movie!

The Story of Martha
Grim, relentless, tiresome and yet brilliant!!If you've watched the show you'll understand that the story is taking place between the second last and the last episodes of season three. The Earth has been taken by the Master and the Toclafane are out to kill. Martha however, got away from the Masters trap and with the help of the perception filter, she can hide from the Toclafane and pretty much anybody else.
It's a grueling story to read because you can slowly see the person that Martha is becoming. Such an ordinary person travelling with the Doctor who ends up getting the weight of the world put onto her shoulders. You couldn't ask for a harder fate.
I finished this book in no time. And for me to do that, it must be good! It's a jumble of short stories that can be read and left for a little while. If you're a die hard fan like myself of the series, I say buy it and add it to your collection!

17 Days, 17 Things to Remember
2) The tier that didn't raise during the lighting of the torch.
3) The outrageous and very long outdoor lighting of the torch with Wayne Gretzky
4) The unfortunate accident that began the whole Winter Olympics...
5) The unpredictable weather!
6) Our very first GOLD!! Hurrah Alex!!
7) The next 13 golds to follow!!
8) The look on Dale Beggsmith's face when we kicked his butt!
9) How envious you must've felt, wishing you could be part of the party happening in BC over the last 17 days. I know I am one of them...10) When we stripped Russia from their podium in pairs figure skating.
11) When we beat the women's USA hockey team and then the men's hockey team... AGAIN!?! And we'll also add the look on their face when we did beat them.
13) The red and white that covered the stands.
14) The defeat we faced...
15) The many close calls!
16) The closing ceremony's humour with the relighting of the torch!
17) Seeing how beautiful our nation truely is, how strong our winter warriors can actually be... and how such an event has brought us closer as a nation.
